Water Damage

Disaster can strike at the worst possible times, and often when those disasters include an excess amount of water in your home or place of business, it can be quiet troublesome. The “TEAM” here at Tulsa Steam Team is prepared and ready, 24 hours a day, to take on even the most challenging water disasters. Wet carpet should be attended to quickly, as mold and bacteria can begin growth immediately.

These are the steps used to completely restore your water damaged carpet.

Clean Water Extractions

  1. Evaluate whether the carpet is damaged by “clean” or “dirty” water
  2. Begin by extracting water from the pad
  3. Then, extracting water from the carpet
  4. Insert air movers under carpet to dry out concrete floors, tack strip, baseboards, padding, and carpet
  5. Install dehumidifiers if walls or ceilings have significant water damage
  6. Treat all affected areas with Microban, an anti-microbial sterilizing compound designed to eliminate and prevent the growth of mold, mildew, and bacteria.
  7. Allow a minimum of 24 hours dry time
  8. Upon complete dehumidification, remove drying equipment and reinstall carpet
  9. Finally clean affected areas as an extra step of sanitization

Dirty or sewage water extractions

  1. Begin by extracting water from pad
  2. Then, completely remove any and all affected padding and discard accordingly
  3. Extract remaining water from carpet
  4. Insert air movers under carpet to dry out concrete floors, tack strip, baseboards, padding, and carpet
  5. Install dehumidifiers if walls or ceilings have significant water damage
  6. Treat all affected areas with Microban, an anti-microbial sterilizing compound designed to eliminate and prevent the growth of mold, mildew, and bacteria.
  7. Allow a minimum of 24 hours dry time
  8. Upon complete dehumidification, remove drying equipment and reinstall both new padding and carpet
  9. Finally clean affected areas as an extra step of sanitization
